2010 Season: Sat out the season as a redshirt and maintained freshman eligibility.
High School: Four-year letterwinner for the Hereford field hockey squad • led the team in goals, points and game-winning goals as a senior while leading the squad to a 15-2 record and the 2009 Maryland State AAA Championship as a senior • selected to the All-Division and All-County teams as a senior • named All-Division as a junior, leading team to the Regional Finals and County Championship in 2008 • helped the squad to the 2006 Maryland State AAA Championship as a freshman • also ran track for the Lady Bulls, earning three letters in indoor track and two more in outdoor track • named All-County in outdoor track as a senior • raced at the prestigious Penn Relays as a junior and senior • member of National Honor Society and Math National Honor Society.
Personal: Laura Beth Ewell ("e-well") • daughter of Dave and Leah Ewell • has an older brother, who also attends Delaware • elementary education major at Delaware with a concentration in mathematics.
