At Delaware: Expected to start for the third consecutive season in the Blue Hen midfield • one of team's most experienced players • three-year letterwinner who has appeared in 55 games with 42 starts and registered 12 goals and two assists.

2011 Season: One of three UD players to have started all 20 games • named Second-Team All-Colonial Athletic Association •second on the team with 50 shots • third on the squad with 24 corners • registered an assist in three-straight games (Sept. 18 vs. Appalachian State, Sept. 18 vs. Monmouth and Sept. 24 at St. Joseph’s) • collected one of UD’s four, two-goal games in Delaware’s 3-0 victory over Drexel on Oct. 21 • also posted one of the Blue Hens’ four-point games against Drexel.

2010 Season: Started all 18 games for Delaware • ranked third on the team with eight points and tied for third with three goals on the year • scored the game-winning goal with 5:50 remaining to give the Blue Hens a 3-2 victory at Hofstra on Oct. 29 • scored the first goal of the game during a 2-1 triumph over Penn on Oct. 15 • posted her first goal of the season during the season-opening 4-2 win over Vermont on Aug. 28 • assisted on Melissa LeNoir’s overtime goal that gave Delaware a 2-1 victory at Temple on Sept. 17 • other assist came at James Madison on Sept. 26 • was named to the New Hampshire All-Tournament Team.

2009 Season: Appeared in all 20 games and made 19 starts as a forward for Delaware • drilled home nine goals and tallied 18 points, which both stood second on the team • also ranked second on the squad and fifth in the CAA with three game-winners • scored one of the most important goals of the season for Delaware with her tally against Drexel during the CAA Championship • during the defensive battle, she scored the lone goal after converting on a 2-on-1 breakaway with Casey Howard in the waning moments of the first half of the championship contest • posted a goal and earned Delaware a penalty stroke in the squad’s upset victory over Old Dominion on Oct. 2 before adding the game-winning score against William & Mary on Oct. 3 • for her efforts against the Monarchs and Tribe, she was named the WomensFieldHockey.com National Player of the Week on Oct. 6 • found the back of the cage in three straight contests against Rutgers on Sept. 11, Saint Joseph’s on Sept. 12, and Temple on Sept. 18.

2008 Season: Saw action in 17 games with five starts • made her first career start in the season-opener against Michigan State • also earned starting duties against No. 12 Duke, Saint Joseph’s, Northeastern, and No. 2 Maryland • posted a season-high two shots, including one on goal, in a 2-1 setback to No. 19 Rutgers on Oct. 15 • also added a shot against Saint Joseph’s on Sept. 21.

2007 Season: Did not see game action for Delaware and retained freshman eligibility.

High School: Three-year all-county selection during last three seasons • named second team all-state in 2005 • served as team captain as a junior and senior • named All-County Player of the Year in basketball as a senior • selected honorable mention in 2004 and 2005 • named all-county in softball during final two seasons and was selected honorable mention as a sophomore • earned Senior Athletic Excellence Award • member of National Honor Society • honor roll student.

Personal: Amanda Lane McCardell ("mick-cardle") • daughter of Michael and Terry McCardell • sister, Mallory, played field hockey at Wesley College in Dover, Del. • also has a brother, Joe • fashion merchandising major at Delaware • served as a Greenville (Del.) Country Club camp counselor over the summer.
