At Delaware: Expected to start for the fourth consecutive season in the Blue Hen backfield • three-year letterwinner who has started all 56 games that she has played • team's most experienced player.

2011 Season: Finished senior season starting all 75 games during UD field hockey career after she started 19 games during final season • tied for the team-lead with seven assists.

2010 Season: Started all 18 games for Delaware in the midfield • recorded three shots on the season • named to Colonial Athletic Association Academic Honor Roll.

2009 Season: Started all 20 games as a back • helped lead an excellent defensive unit that allowed two goals or less in 14 contests during the year, including 11 straight from Sept. 6 through Oct. 16 • ranked ninth in the league with two defensive saves • blocked her first career shot against Drexel on Nov. 1 • also posted one against No. 6 Michigan State during the NCAA Tournament to keep the Spartans scoreless in the early going • contributed four points by posting one goal and two assists • notched a goal and an assist against Temple on Sept. 18 before also helping on Kimmy Schlezes’ overtime game-winning goal in the first round of the CAA Tournament against James Madison.

2008 Season: Only true freshman to appear in and start all 18 games during the season • helped anchor the midfield unit • earned a place on the CAA All-Rookie team for her defensive prowess • posted six shots, including three on goal, during her inaugural campaign.

High School: Three-year letterwinner for the Manheim Central field hockey team • first team all-league and All-state selection as a senior • named to the second team all-league and All-State squads during her junior campaign • led her squad to the 2006 Section One championship • also earned four letters in soccer • second team all-league pick as a senior • member of the Spanish National Honor Society and Student Council.

Personal: Kayla Marie Schweitzer ("schwhite-zer") • daughter of William and Joann Schweitzer • has two siblings, Kendra and Alex • art history major at Delaware.
