University of Delaware Coaching Staff Announces Field Hockey Fun Events this Spring and Summer

NEWARK, Del. -- Get ready for more ‘Hockey Fun’ this Spring and Summer as University of Delaware field hockey head coach Rolf van de Kerkhof and his staff offer a series of events on campus.
"We are excited about offering this series of fun and top-notch field hockey events to those players, coaches, and parents who want to come out to enjoy and learn more about the game of field hockey,” said van de Kerkhof, who will enter his second season at the helm of the Blue Hens this fall. “They will get a taste of what it is like playing and coaching at the next level up from high school and club field hockey. This is another opportunity for Delaware Field Hockey to promote and develop our sport here on the East Coast.”
The staff would like to invite everyone to be part of a great field hockey experience as a player, a coach, and a parent.
The following events are available to all to learn more about the game, develop skill and knowledge about field hockey, and better understand coaching and the college search process.
The Blue Hens Field Hockey Program presents:
• Friday Nights Under The Lights – April 27, May 4, and May 11 FULL
• Hockey Fun Play Day – February 25 & April 29 (Register online at www.udel.edu/fhclinics or fill out brochure located here
• Coaches Clinic – May (date to be announced)
• Recruiting Seminar for parents and players in high school – May 19 & 20 (in conjunction with USFHA Futures Regional Tournament at the University of Delaware)
• Observation of 2012 pre-season practices
