At Delaware: Physical player with outstanding pass-rushing skills…used great strength and speed to his advantage by making offensive players miss when trying to block him...will enter season as No. 2 defensive end behind All-CAA selection Michael Antunrase….could also see action on special teams and is athletic enough to play linebacker.
2010 Season: One of only four true freshmen to see game action in 2010, including high school team mate Jake Giusti...enjoyed a solid freshman campaign in which he came on strong in the late going...recorded four total tackles, including two solo stops in 12 games...put together an impressive run in the NCAA playoffs as he recorded a tackle in three of the four games played in the post-season...also registered 2.5 sacks on the season, all of which in the post season...had one sack for 6 yards in NCAA second round win over Lehigh which forced a fumble...recorded one sack vs. New Hampshire which registered eight yards and had half a sack in the NCAA championship game vs. Eastern Washington for a one yard loss...Delaware defense led the nation in scoring defense at 12.1 points per game and ranked No. 5 in total defense (280.7 yards per game)…team went 12-3 and advanced to the FCS national title game under head coach K.C. Keeler.
High School: Played linebacker and defensive end for head coach Joe Reynolds at Fletcher High School...high school teammate of fellow UD sophomore Jake Giusti...led team to three-year record of 27-6...team won conference titles in 2007 and 2008, district titles in 2008 and 2009, and advanced to the state playoffs all three years...earned first team All-First Coast honors as a defensive lineman...named conference Lineman of the Year...ranked No. 10 defensive end in the state as a senior by the Orlando Sentinel...two-time first team all-district and all-conference selection...registered 72 tackles, eight sacks, and two fumble recoveries as a senior.
