At Delaware: Second-year transfer from Rutgers where he was a three-year member of the squad…key member of the Blue Hen defensive line unit and one of only six returning players with significant playing experience…will battle redshirt freshman Laith Wallschleger for starting spot at right tackle...vocal player...strong and talented athlete with good speed off the ball...can also play defensive end.
2010 Season: Enjoyed a terrific season for the Blue Hens, appearing in all 15 games – all as a backup - after his transfer from Rutgers...collected 14 tackles, including four solo stops on the season...also had three tackles for loss during the year...saw action on special teams as a key member on field goal protection...had season-high two tackles each vs. South Dakota State, Duquesne, Richmond, James Madison, and Villanova…selected to the Colonial Athletic Association Academic All-Conference team...Delaware defense led the nation in scoring defense at 12.1 points per game and ranked No. 5 in total defense (280.7 yards per game)…team went 12-3 and advanced to the FCS national title game under head coach K.C. Keeler.
At Rutgers: Three-year member of the football squad at Rutgers but did not see game action.
2009 Season: Did not see game action…team went 9-4 and defeated Central Florida in the St. Petersburg Bowl for head coach Greg Schiano.
2008 Season: Moved to offensive line in spring drills…did not see game action and retained freshman eligibility…member of scout team…squad went 8-5 and defeated North Carolina State in PapaJohns.com Bowl.
2007 Season: Originally part of the 2006 Rutgers recruiting class…did not enroll until January and took part in spring drills…did not see game action as a true freshman…scout team player at defensive tackle…team went 8-5 and defeated Ball State in the International Bowl.
High School: Versatile player at Freehold High School where he played defensive end, linebacker, tight end, and on special teams for head coach Dom Lepore…played mostly at linebacker as a senior and recorded 80 tackles, including 30 solo stops…also had five sacks and two forced fumbles…caught 10 passes for 150 yards as a tight end…rated as the No. 54 inside linebacker in the nation by Rivals.com as well as the state’s No. 22 prospect…PrepStar All-East selection…earned All-District honors…also a standout basketball player and a weight thrower on the track and field squad.
