NEWARK, Del. - - Calling all Delaware Football fans and friends!
You’re invited to join us Tuesday, Jan. 4 @ 8:15 AM to show your Blue Hens spirit and to wish the team good luck as they take off to compete in the 2011 FCS National Championship Game. Come out to the southwest corner of Delaware Stadium (outside the Bob Carpenter Center side entrance closest to the Stadium) with the University of Delaware spirit teams and root on your Fightin’ Blue Hens football team as they depart for Frisco, Texas. GO HENS!
Also, as a reminder, all fans and members of the University of Delaware community are invited to watch their Blue Hens Football team in the 2011 FCS National Championship Game to be broadcast live at the Trabant Multi-Purpose Room on Friday, January 7 at 6:30 PM. Complimentary refreshments will be provided.
The Blue Hens earned a trip to their third FCS National Championship game in eight years with a 27-10 victory over Georgia Southern in the semifinals on December 18. The game will be played in Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas on January 7 at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2.
