Registration Now Available for University of Delaware Alumni Golf Outing and Barbecue Set for April 15 at White Clay Creek CC

STANTON, Del. -- Registration is now underway for the annual University of Delaware Football Alumni Golf Outing set for Friday, Apr. 15 at White Clay Creek Country Club at Delaware Park.
The event, which benefits the Blue Hen football program, is open to all former Delaware players and coaches and is part of a fun-filled day that will conclude with the annual Blue-White Football Scrimmage.
Golf begins at 11:30 a.m. and is followed by the Football Alumni Barbecue at 4:30 p.m. at the Bob Carpenter Center and the second annual Fandemonium at 5:30 p.m. Fandemonium is a free, family-friendly event in front of Delaware Stadium that will once again include food, music, games, prizes, and autograph sessions. That event will be followed by the Blue-White Scrimmage at 7 p.m. in Delaware Stadium. The scrimmage wraps up the spring practice schedule.
Registration for golf and the barbecue is now available online at www.udel.edu/footballalumniday until Apr. 8, 2011.
The cost for golf and the barbecue is $175 per person with special discounts for alumni from the classes of 2008 ($160), 2009 ($150), and 2010 ($140). The cost for the barbecue only is $40 for adults, $15 for youths 13-17, and $10 for youths 6-12. Children under six are free.
The Golf Outing, which is sponsored by the Embassy Suites Hotel - Newark/Wilmington South, will include a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. and will feature a four-man scramble format with awards being presented to the top three foursomes.
