National Runner-Up University of Delaware Football Staff to Offer Four Instructional Camps this Summer

NEWARK, Del. -- The coaching staff of the 2010 national runner-up University of Delaware football squad will be offering four different instructional camps for youths this summer on the UD campus.

AFCA National Coach of the Year K.C. Keeler and his staff will host six different sessions, including the Pro PT Youth Camp on July 11-15 (ages 8-13); Senior One Day Camps on June 12, July 13, and July 24 (grades 9-12); Blue Hen Quarterback & Wide Receiver Academy on June 25 and July 16 (grades 9-12); and the Blue Hen Big Man Camps on June 25 and July 16 (grades 9-12).

The cost is $215 for the Pro PT Youth Camp, $45 for the Senior One Day Camps, and $80 each for the Quarterback & Wide Receiver Academy and for the Blue Hen Big Man Camp.

The Blue Hen Football Camps offer a wide variety of camps to increase a young player’s knowledge and ability to play the game of football. All of the camps are run by the University of Delaware football coaching staff and campers will get the opportunity to learn from a group that has played for three national championships in the last eight seasons and produced numerous All-Americans and National Football League players.

Each camp is designed to teach and drill the specifics that are needed for that age group or specific position and have widely been considered some of the best on the East Coast. In addition, campers will have the opportunity to showcase their skills to the Delaware football staff as well as well as other area school.

The Pro PT Youth Camp is designed for youths 8-13 with its aim to teach the fundamentals of playing the game of football while learning technique at all positions. Proper techniques and fundamentals will be taught while enjoying the game of football with UD staff members and players.

The Senior One Day camps, for players in grades 9-12, is designed to assist participants in improving basic skills for all positions in the sport of football. It will be a tremendous opportunity for rising high school prospects to learn how football is played at the college level. It will also give prospects an opportunity to showcase their talents while college coaches assist them in honing their skills.

The Blue Hen Big Man Camp, for players in grades 9-12, is a comprehensive one day campe in which young people will improve their fundamentals and techniques so that come football season, they will play faster, lower and with greater confidence and win in the trenches.

The Blue Hen Quarterback and Wide Receiver Academy, for players in grades 9-12, is an intense one-day, double session instructional camp devoted solely to developing the skills required to play the quarterback and wide receiver positions.
