Drive for Five: Delaware Calling All Blue Hen Students to Fill The Cockpit for Wm. & Mary Game Oct. 8; Prizes to be Awarded to Lucky Students

NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware is calling all Blue Hen students to come out and support the No. 5 ranked Delaware football team as the Blue Hens host longtime rival and No. 10 ranked William & Mary on Oct. 8 at Delaware Stadium.
The Blue Hens need your support and energy as they square off against the Tribe under the lights at 6 p.m. at Delaware Stadium. Be there for the Cockpit Drive for Five and pack The Cockpit 5,000 strong!

“Nothing gets our team more fired up than looking up into the end zone and seeing our students showing their support for us,” said Delaware head coach K.C. Keeler, who has led the Blue Hens to a 3-1 record and a No. 5 national ranking heading into this Saturday’s game at Maine. “We need that support more than ever on Oct. 8 as we take on a William & Mary team that shared the conference title with us a year ago. Lets give the Tribe 5,000 reasons to fear coming into Delaware Stadium!”
In response to student inquiries and in an effort to make the attendance process as convenient as possible at this time, there will be no advance ticket pickup for students for the remainder of the 2011 regular home football season.
Students planning to attend the game should simply present their valid University of Delaware student ID card at the South West Student Entrance two hours prior to kickoff and receive a wristband for either the South End Zone Cockpit section or the overflow sections. All tickets are subject to availability and admission to the student seating areas will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
For the Drive for Five game on Oct. 8, each wristband will be numbered and all students in attendance will be eligible for a series of raffled prizes on gameday. There will be five total prizes randomly drawn throughout the game including an ipad2 and a $5,000 grand prize compliments of the Cockpit.
All prizes and seating in the designated student areas are exclusively for current UD students, and the selected student winners must be present to win and confirm current UD student status to claim their winnings.
All five winners will be invited to lead the Blue Hen football team on to the field during pre-game the following week, Oct. 15, when the Blue Hens play host to nationally-ranked Massachusetts at Delaware Stadium.
