Delaware Head Coach K.C. Keeler and Klondike Kate’s Restaurant Team Up to Assist Boys & Girls Clubs

NEWARK, Del. -- University of Delaware football head coach K.C. Keeler and Klondike Kate’s Restaurant on Main Street in Newark are once again teaming up this month to assist the Boys and Girls Clubs of Delaware.

During the entire month of April, Klondike Kate’s will donate $2 (large portion) and $1 (small portion) for every sale of the popular KC’s Cobb Salad to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Delaware. The salad is named in honor of the popular Blue Hen coach.

Keeler, who has led his teams to four NCAA Tournament appearances in his 10 seasons, including a national championship in 2003 and national runner-up finishes in 2007 and 2010, is a former board member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Newark and his wife, Janice, is a corporate board members of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Delaware.

Keeler earned the Liberty Mutual National Coach of the Year following the 2010 season. Part of Liberty Mutual’s $50,000 charitable contribution in his name was designated to assist the Boys and Girls Clubs of Delaware.

The Delaware football team is in the midst of spring practice leading up to the annual Blue-White Spring Game, which will be held this Friday, Apr. 20 at 7:30 p.m. at Delaware Stadium. Admission and parking is free.
