NEWARK, Del. --The Blue Hen Touchdown Club announced that offensive lineman Bobby Kennedy and wide receiver Mike Milburn earned Spring Practice Most Improved Offensive Player honors while linebacker Mike Hirt earned the Most Improved Defensive Player award during the club’s luncheon on Thursday.

Kennedy, a rising junior from Newark, Del. (Caravel Academy), is making the transition from defensive line to offensive guard this year. He missed the 2011 season with an injury but will look to make an impact on the Blue Hen offensive line during the 2012 season.

Milburn (at right), a rising junior from Bowie, Md. (DeMatha), appeared in three games for the Blue Hens last season. He saw action during victories over Delaware State, Towson and Richmond, but did not make any catches on the season.

Hirt, a rising senior from Pittsburgh, Pa. (North Hills), played in six games for Delaware last fall. He participated in each of the first five games of the season and also saw action against Richmond, making his only tackle of the season against West Chester.
