RICHMOND, Va. -- The University of Delaware football team will appear twice on the Comcast SportsNet Regional networks as the Colonial Athletic Association announced its television package on Tuesday.
Delaware will play at William & Mary on Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. and at home against Maine on Oct. 6 at 3:30 p.m on the CSN Regional networks.
The Blue Hens, who already have three games that will be broadcast nationally by NBC Sports Network, will now have five televised contests during the 2012 season, including three at Delaware Stadium.
UD’s Route 1 Rivalry home game against Delaware State on Sept. 8, the road game at Old Dominion on Oct. 27, and the home game versus Towson on Nov. 3 will be broadcast by NBC Sports Network, it was announced last month.
Delaware, led by 11th-year head coach K.C. Keeler, will return 13 starters and six all-conference players from last year’s team that went 7-4 and narrowly missed out on a second straight trip to the NCAA Tournament.
The Blue Hens will open the 2012 season on Aug. 30 at home against West Chester at 7:30 p.m. at Delaware Stadium.
