Gameday Happenings – Delaware vs. Delaware State

Traffic & Parking: Season and single game parking lots open 4 hours prior to kickoff. Single game parking is available for $15. Season passes must be displayed at all times and patrons must enter through the Entrance indicated on their parking pass.

Due to expected high traffic volume and area construction, fans are encouraged to arrive early. Fans traveling from the North are encouraged to travel from Route 273 to Route 4. Fans traveling from the South are encouraged to take Route 72 to Route 4. Patrons traveling southbound on 896 (S. College Ave.) will not be able to make a left hand turn into Stadium lots. In addition, handicap patrons should enter Gate F located on Route 4 as the handicap parking is behind the BCC.

Delaware Ticket Office Opens at Bob Carpenter Center: 1:30 p.m. Saturday

UD Athletic Ticket Office Opens at Delaware Stadium Main Gate: 1:30 p.m. Saturday

Gates Open At Delaware Stadium: 1:30 p.m. Saturday

Blue Hens Fan Zone: 1:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday, Adjacent to Main Entrance on West side of Stadium. Family friendly fun zone! Live entertainment provided by DJ Andrew Hugh on the Delaware Lottery Stage. The WDSD pregame show can be found in its new spot adjacent to the BCC courtyard entrance. Also, stop by the Coors Light Coop beginning at 1:30 p.m. And, don’t forget to visit the Future Hens Club tent to pick up membership information or to get a gameday tattoo. The Fan Zone is full of good times on the inflatables and interactives as well.

Blue Hens Fan Zone Partners include: Army National Guard; Delaware Lottery; Claymont Steak; Delaware Express; Orly Diamonds; PNC Bank; Be Truly Well Chiropractic & Day Spa, and M&T Bank. The Coors Light Coop: 1:30 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. Saturday, Adjacent to the Blue Hens Fan Zone Special hospitality area for our guests 21 and over where they are invited to stop by and purchase adult beverages and snacks while catching live college gameday broadcasts. Must be 21 and over for entry and must present valid photo id and paid game ticket. There will be weekly prizes and promotional giveaways, be sure to stop by!

Student Entrance Programming: SCPAB and Marines Chin-Up Challenge

UD Student Giveaway & Tickets: UD students should enter through the southwest corner of the stadium. No ticket is needed, only a valid UD id. One admission per eligible student. 1,000 neon yellow Cockpit shirts will be distributed in the SEZ of Delaware Stadium to the first UD students with a student wristband AND valid student ID Card. Shirts are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Guest Relations: Guest Relations kiosks are located outside of Delaware Stadium on the West sides beginning two hours pre-game through kick-off. The main Guest Relations kiosk is located directly inside the West Entrance of Delaware Stadium. Opening two hours prior to kick-off through the conclusion of the game. Lost and found items, the lost parents program and emergency re-entry along with other general fan inquiries are all handled at the main kiosk inside the Stadium.

Giveaway: Gameday sponsor M&T Bank will be on-site distributing car magnets from the Blue Hens Fan Zone to patrons to use to show off their Blue Hens pride all season long. In addition, season ticket holders that missed us last Thursday during the home opener may stop by the West Concourse Guest Relations kiosk for the official 2012 football schedule poster.

Promotion: Youth Cheer Day! Enjoy seeing the participants of this year’s Youth Cheer Day on-field at the beginning of halftime prior to the band performance show featuring both the Delaware State University and University of Delaware Marching Bands.

Concessions Specials: Crab Cake Sandwich available at outside BBQ Station during pregame – Chef Carl’s Famous Crab Cake served on a Brioche Bun with Citrus Cole Slaw. The Fryer Truck located in the NEZ of Delaware Stadium has added chicken tenders to their menu. Be sure to stop by during the game!

Visiting Team Guests: Guests whose names have been left on a pass list form the visiting school and/or who need to pick up tickets purchased directly through the visiting school, should do so at the East Box Office on the East side of Delaware Stadium.

UD Player Guests/HS Coaches/Non Football Recruits/Spirit Guests: Should enter through the pass gate on the west side of Delaware Stadium adjacent to the Delaware Stadium Box Office

UD Football Recruits: Should enter through the main entrance of the Bob Carpenter Center

Seatback Rentals: Seatback rentals may be purchased on gameday immediately inside the East and West main entrances. They are $5 per seat and are cash only on gameday.

Stadium Policies: As a reminder, items not allowed at Delaware Stadium include alcohol, aluminum cans, artificial noisemakers, coolers/ice chests/thermoses, fireworks, glass bottles, large backpacks/bags, large stadium seats, outside food or drink, projectiles of any sort, umbrellas (ponchos are recommended), weapons.

Patrons are permitted to bring in one unopened bottle of water per guest. In order to ensure the safety of our guests. all bags will be checked as patrons enter the facility. Please plan accordingly as long lines may exist.

Delaware Stadium has a No Re-Entry policy. Patrons experiencing an emergency or who must exit for medical reasons may go to the main Guest Relations kiosk inside the Stadium on the West side for assistance.

Tailgating: Patrons may tailgate beginning 4 hours prior to kickoff and may resume post game for up to two hours after the conclusion of the game. Tailgates must be limited to the immediate space behind the patron's vehicle and driveways must be kept clear at all times.
