WILMINGTON, Del. –Members of the University of Delaware golf team visited students at the Brown’s Boys and Girls Club in Wilmington earlier this month, serving as tutors for the second consecutive year.

The Blue Hens started working with the First Tee of Delaware Program in Wilmington last winter, demonstrating their golf swings to boys and girls clubs in the Wilmington area. During their visits, the Blue Hens meet and greet with the children in addition to answering their questions. They break up the kids into stations focusing on putting, chipping and full swing. This month’s demonstration was the first of the season for the UD players, who will visit other youth agencies two Wednesdays a month in December and January.

They really are role models, and we are extremely grateful to be partnered with the University of Delaware golf program.”
