As A Blue Hen: Will challenge for a starting position in the Delaware frontcourt • athletic post player who is an excellent rebounder • adept at finishing around the basket.

2009-10 Season: Appeared in 22 of the first 23 games before missing the final eight contests with a stress fracture in his left foot • averaged 5.1 points and 3.1 rebounds in 17.4 minutes per game • connected on 61.1 percent (44 of 72) of his field goal attempts • led the team with six rebounds while adding five points and two steals at Siena (11/24) • scored 12 points, grabbed four rebounds and blocked two shots against Virginia Tech (11/28) • hit all three of his field goal attempts to finish with six points at Delaware State (12/1) • posted four points and four rebounds at Old Dominion (12/5) • led the Blue Hens with 13 points and a season-high four blocked shots against Hampton (12/9) • scored five points, grabbed six rebounds and blocked a shot in the win at Vermont (12/20) • posted four points and four rebounds against Lafayette (12/28) • posted seven points and four rebounds at Northeastern (1/13) • led Delaware with season-highs of 17 points and eight rebounds against Towson (1/16) • went 8 of 9 from the field versus the Tigers • named CAA Rookie of the Week on Jan. 18 • scored five points and dished out a season-high three assists against Georgia State (1/23) • scored five points and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds at George Mason (1/27) • posted eight points and five rebounds at Hofstra (1/30).

High School: Played at Douglas Freeman High School in Richmond • earned first team All-Metro honors as a senior, becoming first player from Freeman to earn the honor in 23 years • also garnered first team All-Colonial District accolades while averaging 17 points and 7.1 rebounds per game in 2008-09 • earned second team All-District honors while averaging 15.8 points, seven rebounds, and three assists as a junior • guided his Petersburg Elite AAU team to a top-16 national ranking • scored 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting in the Virginia High School Coaches Association All-Star Game • was teammates on the VHSCA West roster with current teammate Jamelle Hagins • also scored 19 points in the 804 All-Star Game and completed in the dunk contest during the pregame festivities.

Personal: Josh Brinkley • son of Roselind Brinkley • has a sister, Zipporah • son of Clinton Brinkley • has sisters April and Adrian, and brothers Clinton, Lester and Mason • health behavior science major at Delaware • worked at the Monté Ross Basketball Camp over the summer • enjoys playing 2K11, lifting weights and watching Jersey Shore during free time.
