Devon Saddler Named One of Top 16 Area College Basketball Players by Baltimore Sun

NEWARK, Del. -- Blue Hen sophomore guard and reigning Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Year Devon Saddler has been named one of the top 16 Division I college basketball players from the Baltimore area by the Baltimore Sun, and was featured on the newspaper's website Tuesday.
Saddler, who was also selected to the Collegeinsider.com Mid-Major Freshman All-America Team, shared team MVP honors with Jawan Carter and earned five league Rookie of the Week awards. He started all 31 games during his rookie campaign, setting UD single season freshman records with 411 points, 13.3 points per game, and 149 field goals.
Saddler, an Aberdeen, Md. native (Aberdeen HS), was the Blue Hens' leading scorer during 12 games on the season and reached double figures in 17 of the final 19 contests of the year. Below is the link to the Baltimore Sun story:
