University of Delaware Men’s Basketball Guard Will Townsville Named To NABC Honors Court

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- University of Delaware men’s basketball guard Will Townsville, who recently completed his junior season with the Blue Hens, was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) 2011-12 Honors Court last week.
Townsville (Newark, Del./Glasgow), an economics major at Delaware who carries a 3.25 grade point average, has been a three-year member of the Blue Hens. He appeared in six games this past season, contributing five points, two rebounds and a steal while earning the UD Team Sportsmanship Award.
Townsville has been named Colonial Athletic Association Academic Honorable Mention and been selected to the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll in each of the last two years.
In order to be named to the NABC Honors Court, an athlete must be a junior or senior academically, boast a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2011-12 academic year, and have matriculated at least one year at his current institution.
