University of Delaware To Have Four Men’s Basketball Games Televised By NBC Sports Network This Season

Athlete photoRICHMOND, Va. -- The University of Delaware men’s basketball team will have four regular season games televised by the NBC Sports Network during the 2012-13 season, as the network announced its Colonial Athletic Association schedule on Thursday.

The Blue Hens’ first contest to be televised by NBC Sports Network will be the road game at rival Drexel on Monday, January 28 at 7 p.m. The network will also broadcast Delaware’s home games against Old Dominion on Monday, February 11 at 7 p.m., versus Drexel on Thursday, February 21 at 7 p.m., and the regular season finale against George Mason on Saturday, March 2 at 2 p.m.

The network will televise 18 CAA regular season games, along with both conference tournament semifinals on Sunday, March 10 and the championship game on Monday, March 11.

The year, NBC Sports Network will televise more than 50 college basketball games, the most in the network’s history. Part of the NBC Sports Group, NBC Sports Network is now in nearly 80 million homes. The network is the cable television home of the Summer and Winter Olympics, National Hockey League (NHL), Major League Soccer (MLS), IZOD Indy Car Series, Tour de France, and the 34th America’s Cup.

The entire 2012-13 CAA television schedule, which is once again expected to include approximately 100 telecasts, will be announced at CAA Basketball Media Day on Tuesday, October 16.
