University of Delaware Announces Men's Basketball Colonial Athletic Association Schedule

NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware men’s basketball team will open its Colonial Athletic Association schedule at Old Dominion and end the regular season with a home game against George Mason as the Blue Hens announced their 18-game conference schedule on Wednesday.
Following a 13-game non-conference slate, Delaware will play the first of 18 consecutive CAA games on Saturday, Jan. 5 in Norfolk, Va. against Old Dominion. The contest will mark the fourth time in the last five years that the Blue Hens open their conference slate against the Monarchs.
UD plays its league home opener when Hofstra visits the Bob Carpenter Center on Wednesday, Jan. 9, before a road game at Georgia State on Saturday, Jan. 12. The Blue Hens then return home for a pair of games, hosting Towson on Wednesday, Jan. 16 and Northeastern on Saturday, Jan. 19.
Delaware is back on the road at James Madison on Wednesday, Jan. 23 and then heads to rival Drexel for a key game on Monday, Jan. 28. Two days later the Blue Hens host William & Mary on Wednesday Jan. 30, and remain home to welcome UNCW to the BCC on Saturday, Feb. 2.
UD heads to Towson on Wednesday, Feb. 6, and stays on the road for a contest at George Mason on Saturday, Feb. 9. Following a quick turnaround for a home game with Old Dominion on Monday, Feb. 11, the Blue Hens head to Boston to face Northeastern on Wednesday, Feb. 13. Delaware then hosts James Madison on Saturday, Feb. 16, wrapping up a hectic stretch of eight games in 20 days.
The Blue Hens host Drexel on Thursday, Feb. 21, before heading south to face UNCW on Saturday, Feb. 23. Following a road game at Hofstra on Wednesday, Feb. 27, Delaware wraps up its regular season at home against George Mason on Saturday, Mar. 2.
Dates and times are subject to change based on television schedules. The final schedule along with television broadcast information is expected to be announced at CAA Basketball Media Day on October 16.
