Blue Hen Men's Golfers in 13th Place Following First Day of Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate

Day One Tournament Results
VERONA, N.Y. -- University of Delaware men’s golf senior captain Ben Conroy fired a three over par 75-72-147 on Sunday and is tied for 22nd place in the individual standings following the first day of the season-opening Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate.
Conroy (at right) began his day with a three over par 75 on the par 72, 7,105-yard Kaluhyat Course, before closing with an even par 72 during his second round to finish the day at three over.
The Blue Hens also showed improvement as a team as the day progressed, as Delaware recorded a 315 team score during its first round of the day before posting a 303 on the second round. The Blue Hens ended Sunday’s action in 13th place with a two-round score of 618.
Missouri, the tournament host, leads the field by nine strokes with a 559 team score, while Louisville sits in second place at 568. Memphis enters Monday’s action in third place at 584, while Central Connecticut is fourth at 584 and IPFW is fifth at 593.
Delaware freshman Braden Shattuck, making his Blue Hen debut, fired a three over par 75 during his opening round and followed with a 79 to end his day tied for 45th place with a 10 over par score of 75-79-154. Sophomore Niño Rosal opened with an 84 but improved tremendously to fire a one over par 73 in his second round, ending the day in a tie for 53rd place at 84-73-157, 13 over par.
Junior Corey Wagner posted a 16 over par 81-79-160 during his first action of the season to finish the day in a tie for 59th place, while sophomore Fraser Graham sits in 72nd place after carding a 35 over par 92-87-179.
The tournament concludes on Monday with the third and final round beginning at 8 a.m.
