Third-year member of the squad and a two-year letterwinner....will add solid backup support at the midfield position and as a defensive midfielder...athletic, physical player who will depth as a defensive midfielder....has appeared in 10 career games and recorded six groundballs...a rare two-sport athlete at Delaware who also competes for the Blue Hen football team for head coach K.C. Keeler...two-year backup for the football team as a wide receiver and special teams player...helped lead squad to NCAA national runner-up finish in 2010 when he played in nine games and recorded four tackles and one reception for two yards.

2010 Season: Earned second letter as a backup midfielder...helped lead the Blue Hens to the Colonial Athletic Association title and a berth in the NCAA Tournament...appeared in four games as a backup and collected three groundballs...saw action in games vs. Saint Joseph's, Albany, Vermont, and Towson.

2009 Season: Appeared in six games as a freshman and earned letter as a defensive midfielder...did not score but had six groundballs and two caused turnovers...saw action in games vs. Saint Joseph's, UMBC, Fairfield, Hartford, Albany, and Georgetown...had three groundballs vs. Fairfield and two against Albany.

High School: Three-sport stand-out in football, hockey and lacrosse at Avon Old Farms High School in Connecticut...captained his football and lacrosse teams his senior year...named All-New England and All-Founder League at wide receiver his junior and senior seasons...offensive Most Valuable Player in 2006-07 for football and defensive MVP for lacrosse in 2007-08...led hockey team to New England Prep School Championship in 2007-08.

Personal: John Witter Hodgkinson...born Aug. 9, 1989...son of Richard and Nancy Hodgkinson...has two sisters Lindsay and Laura, and one brother, Jeff...marketing major at Delaware...cites his parents as biggest influence on lacrosse career...worked as a valet during the summer.
