At Delaware: Third-year standout and two-time letterwinner on attack for Blue Hens....will start for second straight season this spring...outstanding feeder who runs Delaware offense from behind the net...All-Colonial Athletic Association candidate...stands only 5-7 but is an exciting player with good speed and quickness to elude defenders...has played in 27 career games at Delaware with 21 starts and registered 20 goals and 27 assists for 47 points..Delaware active career leader in assists...has also posted 20 groundballs and five caused turnovers.
2010 Season: Put together a second straight outstanding season as a UD attackman...led Blue Hens to the Colonial Athletic Association title and a berth in the NCAA Tournament....proved to be an oustanding feeder to the Hens' high-scoring All-American pair of Curtis Dickson and Martin Cahill...led team with 25 assists and ranked No. 2 in scoring behind Dickson with 41 points on 16 goals and 25 assists...ranked No. 27 in the nation in assists with 1.5 per game...ranked fourth on the team with four man-up goals and had two game-winning goals...scored at least one point in each of the final 14 games of the season...scored a career-high five points on a career-high five assists vs. Stony Brook...scored three goals in CAA semifinal win over Drexel...had two goals in four other games - Albany, Villanova, Vermont, and in the NCAA Tournament vs. North Carolina...had a season-high seven shots vs. Villanova and also had six shots vs. Vermont and Penn State...scooped up a season-best four groundballs vs. Massachusetts and Penn State.
2009 Season: Enjoyed an outstanding rookie campaign for the Blue Hens...earned a spot on the CAA All-Rookie team...saw action in 10 games and started the final five contests of the season...scored four goals and dished out two assists while collecting 10 groundballs...fired 21 shots...named CAA Rookie of the Week for April 13 for his play in wins over Sacred Heart and Robert Morris...scored a goal in the fourth quarter that keyed a 7-6 win over Sacred Heart...had season-high five shots vs. Robert Morris and a season-high three groundballs against Towson.
High School: Stand-out ice hockey and lacrosse player at Watkins Mill High School and then Bridgton Academy...four-year varsity letterwinner in lacrosse at Watkins Mill...three-time All-State selection in both lacrosse and hockey...honor student.
Personal: Grant Evan Kaleikau ("ka-LAY-cow")...born Sept. 19, 1988...son of Edward and Lori Kaliekau...has one brother, Adam and a sister Leslie...history major at Delaware...worked as a lifeguard over the summer...cites his parents as greatest influence on his lacrosse career...enjoys playing ice hockey and tennis and going to the beach...avid Washington Capitals ice hockey fan.
