At Delaware: Fourth-year team member as a senior...returning starter for a Delaware defense that ranks among the top units in the Colonial Athletic Association and the nation...suffering from a back injury that could keep him out at least the first month of the season...third-year starter...has strong stick skills and can also play longstick midfielder...outstanding athlete who can create transition offense from defensive end...has appeared in 47 career games with 34 starts...has contributed two goals, 62 groundballs, and 33 caused turnovers...ranks No. 3 on the all-time UD caused turnovers list behind current teammate Pat Dowling (48) and Evan Crowther-Washburn (34 in 2005-08).
2010 Season: Played a key role as a starter on a defense that ranked among the top units in the CAA and the nation...teamed with Pat Dowling, Matt Stefurak, and goalkeeper Noah Fossner for a defense that allowed just 10.01 goals per game and held eight teams to single digits...one of only five players on squad to start all 17 games...did not score a point during the season but led the team with 15 caused turnovers and ranked 10th on the team with 28 groundballs...scooped up a a season-high four groundballs vs. Villanova and also had three against Saint Joseph's, Albany, and Georgetown...caused a season-high four turnovers in CAA title game win over Towson...also had three turnovers against Villanova and two against Georgetown.
2009 Season: Enjoyed another solid season as a sophomore...moved into starting spot at close defense and teamed to help Delaware rank among the league leaders in scoring defense and rank No. 11 nationally in man-down defense (.747)...started all 15 games and ranked second on the squad with 12 caused turnovers...caused turnover total was the 11th highest single season effort in school history...also ranked among team leaders with 22 groundballs...had season-highs of three caused turnovers vs. Saint Joseph's and three groundballs vs. Brown and Drexel.
2008 Season: Colonial Athletic Association All-Rookie team selection...played in 15 games and made two starts...scored two goals on two shots, vs. UMBC and in playof loss to Hofstra...collected 12 groundballs...caused six turnovers.
High School: Attended Danvers High School for two years before transfering to Governor Dummer Academy (now The Governor's Academy) for his final three seasons...played lacrosse and football at both schools, earning five letters in each sport...earned All-American honors as a senior in lacrosse for head coach Peter Bidstrup at TGA...three-time All-Conference selection...led team to two conference titles and three-year mark of 42-6...team captain and Most Valuable Player as a senior...played running back and linebacker in football for head coach Mark Gerry at TGA...team went 20-5 in his three seasons..All-Conference as a senior and was the team MVP...played in Shriner's All-Star Game...honor roll student...lacrosse teammate of former Blue Hen All-American midfielder Martin Cahill at TGA.
Personal: Timothy Lee "Tim" Langmaid...born July 16, 1987...son of Bill and Mary Lou Langmaid...second of four children...marketing major at Delaware...works as a landscaper during the summer...father, Bill, played college football and Plymouth (Vt.)
