At Delaware: Fourth-year member of the squad as a defenseman...returning starter who joins All-CAA defender Pat Dowling to form one of the top defensive units in not only the CAA but in the nation...imposing defender with strong stick skills who has an up-tempo style...defender who is not afraid to take the ball down to score...has scored two goals and dished out an assist in 45 career games with 31 starts...has contributed 41 groundballs and 20 caused turnovers to go with 10 shots on goal...No. 11 on UD career casused turnovers with 20....one of team's biggest players at 6-4 and 236 lbs...has also recorded 19 groundballs and 13 caused turnovers...No. 47 overall selection by the Long Island Lizards in January Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft.
2010 Season: Played a key role as a starter on a defense that ranked among the top units in the CAA and the nation...teamed with Pat Dowling, Tim Langmaid, and goalkeeper Noah Fossner for a defense that allowed just 10.01 goals per game and held eight teams to single digits...played in 17 games with 16 starts on defense...had one goal and one assist and recorded two shots on goal, 15 groundballs, and seven caused turnovers....had season-high two caused turnovers in win over Vermont.
2009 Season: First-year starter on defense for Blue Hens...part of a defensive unit that ranked fifth in the CAA in scoring defense (9.34 goals per game) and No. 11 in the NCAA in man-down defense (.747)...started all 15 games on defense and recorded one goal, 17 groundballs, and 11 caused turnovers (No. 3 on the team)...scored only career goal vs. Hartford on first shot of the season...had season-high four groundballs vs. UMBC and caused two turnovers against Georgetown...aggressive player who led team with nine penalties for seven minutes.
2008: Appeared in 13 games, all in a backup role...scooped up nine groundballs, caused two turnovers and took six shots, most among Blue Hen defenders.
High School: Three-sport standout in lacrosse, football, and basketball at Smithtown West High School...captain in both football and lacrosse...played lacrosse for head coach Kevin Huff...four-year varsity performer...team MVP and an All-County selection as a senior...played on gold medal Long Island Empire State team...played in Northshore vs. Southshore All-Star game...ranked as the No. 61 freshman in the nation in a pre-season Inside Lacrosse poll...played linebacker, fullback and tight end in football for head coach Peter Curello...was team's Defensive MVP and earned All-County honors...played one year of basketball as a forward...member of Spanish Honor Society.
