At Delaware: Third-year member of the squad as a defenseman • has outstanding size at 6-6 and 210 lbs. • one of team's most improved players • expected to move into a starting spot at close defense as a sophomore • one of three Delaware high school products on the squad.

2012 Season: Saw action in three games in a backup role to earn first letter • played in games vs. Johns Hopkins, Stony Brook, and Hofstra • recorded one groundball vs. Hofstra.

2011 Season: Did not see action in first year at Delaware and retained freshman eligibility • member of squad that went 11-7, captured the Colonial Athletic Association title, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.

High School: Three-sport standout in lacrosse, soccer, and basketball at Tower Hill School in Wilmington, Del.• played four years of varsity lacrosse for head coach Brad duPont at Tower Hill School • assistant coach for squad was former Blue Hen All-American Dan Deckelbaum • missed junior year with an injury• led Tower Hill to state title as a senior.• earned All-American honors as a senior and was also a two-time All-State and two-time all-conference selection • two-time winner of team's Howitzer Award as the top defensive player • also played two seasons of varsity basketball and three in soccer as a goalkeeper • two-time All-State player in soccer, earning third team honors as a senior • two-time all-conference...• named team's defensive Most Valuable Player twice • earned Jefferson Award for community service and Tower Hill Spiller Achievement Award.

Personal: Patrick Barlow "Trip" Ashley • born July 17, 1991 • son of Patrick and Ann Ashley • honor student as a leadership major with a minor in visual arts • has worked at NativeVision sports camp for Native Americans sponsored by Johns Hopkins and the NFL Players Association for four summers • was honored for his service to the organization and his work as a supervisor in a Evening with the Stars ceremony in Washington, D.C. in December • has an older sister • hobbies include art and design, metal sculpture art, music and community service • father is a financial advisor and mother is an artist and teacher • part of an athletic family • sister, Blakely, was a four-year tennis standout at Princeton, captured two Ivy League titles, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament • aunt, Allison Barlow, played four years of field hockey and lacrosse at Dartmouth and led the team to an Ivy League title.
