2012 Season: Team's sixth leading goal scorer with 11 on the season as a junior • played in 11 games with five starts • started first five games of the season before moving into a backup role • recorded career-high four goals in season-opening win over Detroit and added three in the second game in overtime win over Bucknell • also had four groundballs and one caused turnover on the season.
2011 Season: Started all 18 games on attack • led Delaware to the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament title and an NCAA Tournament berth • ranked second on the team with 21 goals scored and third with 28 points • also recorded seven assists, 15 groundballs and five caused turnovers • scored three goals against Albany and Presbyterian • also scored two goals in NCAA tournament first round game vs. Duke and one in the CAA Tournament title game win over Massachusetts • scored in each of the finale three games.
2010 Season: Did not see game action in his second season with the team • team captured the Colonial Athletic Association title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
2009 Season: Did not see game action as a true freshman and retained freshman eligibility.
High School: Four-year letterwinner in lacrosse at Archbishop Moeller under Dan Suannon and then Tom Kennedy • as an attack, was three times named All Southern Ohio and All-Ohio • twice was named All-Midwest and an All-American.
Personal: Sean Patrick Finegan • born July 8, 1989 • son of Terry and Susan Finegan • finance and marketing major at Delaware with a minor in economics • served an internship with Hydrosystems Company during the past two summers • brother, Devin, wrestled at NCAA Division III Heidelberg College • cites Devin as biggest influence on his athletic career because he never gave up • aspires to become a company CEO • enjoys fishing, wakeboarding, movies, and video games during his spare time • has also worked in construction and as camp counselor during the summer.
