At Delaware: Fifth-year member of the squad as a senior defender • honor student and a three-year letterwinner • only full-time returning starter on defense • hard-nosed defender who can shut down top offensive players • defender with strong offensive skills • has played in 48 career games with 36 starts and registered two goals, three assists, 101 groundballs, and 38 caused turnovers • ranks No. 3 all-time in Delaware history with 38 caused turnovers, trailing only leader Pat Dowling (59 in 2008-11) and Tim Langmaid (41 in 2008-12).

2012 Season: Team's top defender throughout the season • served as team co-captain • started all 14 games he played in • ranked No. 2 on team with 41 groundballs, trailing only faceoff specialist Dan Cooney • also ranked second on the team with 14 caused turnovers • had career-high nine groundballs vs. Michigan and also recorded seven in season finale vs. Massachusetts • caused two turnovers each vs. Johns Hopkins and Massachusetts.

2011 Season: Started all 18 games on defense for Blue Hens • played key role in Delaware's run to the Colonial Athletic Association title and a berth in the NCAA Tournament •  second on the team with 42 groundballs and second on squad with 17 caused turnovers • recorded one goal against Bellarmine • also had game-high four caused turnovers and picked up eight groundballs.

2010 Season: Enjoyed an outstanding season as a redshirt freshman defender • earned a spot on the CAA All-Rookie team • played a key role in leading Delaware to the Colonial Athletic Association title and an NCAA Tournament berth • played in 16 games and started four contests • scored a goal and dished out three assists • registered 18 groundballs and seven caused turnovers • scored only goal in CAA championship game win over Towson • dished out assists vs. Stony Brook, Hofstra, and Drexel • had a season-high five groundballs vs. Hartford and three vs. Hofstra • caused season-high three turnovers vs. Stony Brook • named to the Inside Lacrosse pre-season All-Colonial Athletic Association first team.

2009 Season: Did not see game action and retained freshman eligibility.

High School: Three-year lacrosse standout on defense at Mount Sinai • led team to state championship and won athlete of the year his senior season • played cornerback and running back for the football team in 2006-07, helping those teams to the Long Island Championship in 2006 and the county championship in 2007 • also played one year as a power forward for the basketball team in 2008 • won a gold medal at the Empire State Games • high honor roll student.

Personal: Connor Daniel Fitzgerald • born May 7, 1990 • son of David and Marianne Fitzgerald • honor student as a finance major at Delaware • Colonial Athletic Association Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll • father was an All-American wrestler and national champion at the University of Iowa • mother was an All-American gymnast at University of Iowa • has three sisters - Kaitlyn, Erin and Caroline • has worked as a construction job over the summer • enjoys football and basketball during his spare time.
