At Delaware: Second-year team member for the Blue Hens • adds depth to the Delaware midfield unit • will battle with fellow sophomore Mike Brailovsky and freshman Tyler Barbarich for No. 2 spot at faceoff specialist behind All-CAA senior Dan Cooney.
2011 Season: Saw action in seven games for the Blue Hens as a freshman • as the team's No. 2 faceoff specialist behind Cooney (191 of 356, .537, went 13 of 23 in faceoff attempts (.565) • was 5 of 5 against Presbyterian and 4 of 7 against Dartmouth • recorded four groundballs, including two vs. Presbyterian and two vs. Dartmouth • dished out an assist in first career game vs. Presbyterian.
High School: Competed in lacrosse at the Tatnall School in Wilmington, Del. under head coach Pete Duncan • led team to a 9-8 record and a berth in the state quarterfinals as a senior in 2010 • earned second team All-State honors and played in the Delaware State Senior All-Star Game, scoring two goals • selected to play in the 2010 Champion® High School Showcase July 17-22 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. • earned four letters in both lacrosse and football • played running back for the football team for head coach Jody Russell • both Duncan and Russell are UD graduates • honor roll student.
Personal: Jackson Taylor Keeler • born Nov. 6, 1991 • son of K.C. and Janice Keeler • communications major at Delaware • has worked as a valet driver at Delaware Park and as a lifeguard during the summer • older sister, Kate, is a 2011 Delaware graduate • enjoys golfing in his spare time • father is the head football coach at Delaware • K.C. was a standout linebacker at Delaware and led the team to the 1979 national championship • as head coach, has led the Blue Hens to a 10-year record of 81-46, including winning the 2003 NCAA national championship and finishing as national runner-up in both 2007 and 2010 • named AFCA National Coach of the Year in 2010.
