Delaware Men's Lacrosse Game at Lafayette Moved Ahead to Tuesday, Mar. 5, Due to Weather Concerns

EASTON, Pa. -- Due to the threat of severe winter weather in the Lehigh Valley area this week, officials have announced that the University of Delaware at Lafayette men's lacrosse game scheduled for Wednesday, March 6 has been moved up a day and will now be played on Tuesday, March 5 at 4 p.m. at Fisher Field.

Delaware (1-4) will be looking to get back on the winning track following a 14-9 setback to Villanova Saturday night. The Hens will be looking for their first victory since a 12-10 win over High Point in the season opener.
The Hens are led by offensively by Nick Diachenko (12 goals), Eric Smith (11), and Connor McRoy (5). Tyler Barbarich ranks among the national leaders in faceoff win percentage at 58 percent.
Lafayette (2-3) returns to action following an 8-5 home loss to Marist on Saturday. The Leopards own wins over Georgetown and Wagner and losses to Stony Brook and Manhattan.
The Leopards are led offensively by Sonny Round (15 goals), Kevin Wanke (7), Brian Bock (7), and Jake Mann (5).
Delaware and Lafayette are former East Coast Conference rivals who will be meeting for the first time since the 1990 season. The Hens have dominated the series, having won each of the last 32 meetings dating back to 1959.
Following Tuesday's game at Lafayette, the Blue Hens will return home Saturday to host Stony Brook at 12 noon at Delaware Stadium. The Delaware vs. Rutgers women's lacrosse game will follow with the second end of the doubleheader at 12 noon.
