TOWSON, Md. -- Shane Ordway was the University of Delaware’s lone individual champion with a first place finish in the pole vault, but Blue Hen athletes posted six top three finishes to highlight the Towson University Track & Field Invitational Saturday at Johnny Unitas Stadium.
Ordway (at right), a junior from Norristown, Pa. (Methacton High School), captured the pole vault as he cleared the height of 13-feet, 5 1/4-inches to win the event for the second straight year and post his fourth career victory.
He was one of three Blue Hen men to finish in the top three. The Delaware women collected four top three finishes on the day.
