Personal: William “Billy” W. Boyer III • son of Nancy and William Boyer Jr., who is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Delaware • mother is a math researcher at the University • has an older sister, Helen, as well as half sisters, Becca and Suzanne, and a half brother, Jeffrey • chose Delaware for the soccer program and the exercise science program • began playing soccer at the age of four • lists Christopher Wellborn as biggest influence for going above and beyond for the team and helping him from age seven until 14 • exercise science major at the University, while working towards a minor in coaching.
