UD All-Time Top-10 Lists: 500-freestyle (4th, 4:37.41), 1,000-freestyle (9:42.91), 1,650-freestyle (4th, 16:13.15). 2009-10 Season: One of the team's top distance swimmers • posted a 15th place finish at the CAA Championships in the 1,650 freestyle with a time of 16:23.29 • finished second at Drexel in the 1,000 freestyle with the team's second best time of the season at 9:48.14 • came in 16th at the CAA's in the 500 freestyle with the team's thir best time of the season, 4:40.11 • posted a 24th place finish at the CAA's in the 200 freestyle, touching the wall at 1:44.98 • finished eighth at Widener in the 100 freestyle with a time of 53.84. 2008-09 Season: Recorded the best time on the team in the 500-free (4:37.41) during the CAA meet • ranked second on the squad in the 1,000-freestyle (9:54.67) and 1,650- free (16:17.22) • also posted the third-quickest time in the 200-freestyle with a 1:42.86 showing at the conference championships. 2007-08 Season: One of the top distance freestylists on the team • posted a team-best time in both the 500- and 1000-freestyles • finished the 500-yard event in 4:41.09 during the CAA Championship while also posting a time of 9:52.90 in the 1000 against LaSalle and Rider • his time of 16:13.15 in the 1,650-Freestyle during the CAA meet marked the second-best performance on the team • also recorded the third-best time in the 400-Individual Medley during the final meet after finishing in 4:16.97.
High School: Finished fifth in the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle at the state championships at Emmaus High School as a senior • led Emmaus to the 2006 and 2007 state team titles • member of National Honor Society • honor roll student.
Personal: Matthew David "Matt" Wehrman • son of Joseph and Cathy Wehrman • has two brothers, Brian and Andrew • honor student as a chemistry major at Delaware • serves as team representative to UD Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) with Dominic Pavlik.
