Named co-captain for 2010-11 • UD All-Time Top-10 Lists: 200-butterfly (10th, 1:55.84), 200-breaststroke (1st, 2:00.32), 200-IM (1st, 1:51.69), 400-IM (1st, 3:56.03), 400-medley relay (3rd, 3:18.39). 2010-11 Season: Rewrote the record books in the 200-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard IM as a junior • broke the 200 breast record twice during the course of the season, first against UMBC and W&M while winning the event in 2:02.99 and again at the CAA Championships, finishing second in 2:00.32 • also set a UD record in the 200-yard individual medley at the CAA's, finishing in a tie for ninth, winning the consolation final in a time of 1:51.69 • had the third best time of the season in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 56.34 at the CAA's • finished fourth in the 400-yard individual medley at the CAA Pod meet with a season's best time of 4:14.77 • won the 200-yard breaststroke and the 200 IM against UMBC and W&M, as well as finished second in the 100-yard breast for his best meet of the year • also placed third in the 200 breast against George Mason with a time of 2:13.95 • also competed in the 200-yard butterfly, finishing with a season's best time of 2:02.40 against George Mason. 2009-10 Season: Placed 17th at the CAA Championships in the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:54.44, third best on the team for the season • finished in 20th at the CAA's in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 59.02 • posted a 24th place finish in the 200 butterfly event at teh CAA's with the team's fourth best showing of 1:57.87 • came in second place at La Salle in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:13.31. 2008-09 Season: Finished third at the CAA meet in the 400-IM (3:56.03) • also helped the 400-medley relay team place third • posted the fastest time on the team in the 200-IM with a 1:52.30 clocking at the championship meet • also ranked first on the team in the 200-breaststroke with a time of 2:03.51 • placed second on the squad in the 200-butterfly (1:55.84) and fourth in the 100-breaststroke (1:00.59) as well.
High School: Standout member of the Salesianum School swim team • four-time first-team All-State selection • earned Delaware Swimmer of the Year Award in 2008 • helped Salesianum win the school's 25th state championship as a senior • won individual titles in the 100-breaststroke and 200-IM.
Personal: Joshua Samuel "Josh" Hyman • son of Bernard and Diane Hyman • worked as a lifeguard in the summer • accounting major at Delaware.
