UD All-Time Top-10 Lists: 200-backstroke (10th, 1:56.88) 2010-11 Season: Posted the 10th fastest time in UD history against UMBC and William & Mary in the 200-yard backstroke, finishing in sixth • also finished third in the 200-yard IM against UMBC and William & Mary in a season's best time of 1:56.62 • would have finished second in the 400-yard IM at Widener, but swam as an exhibition, finishing in 4:18.62 • placed fourth in the 100 back at Widener, swimming it in a season's best time of 55.46. 2009-10 Season: Posted a second place finish at Widener in the 100 butterfly event in 55.03 • finished 11th at the CAA Pod meet in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:02.38 • placed fourth at the Drexel meet in the 200 backstroke in 1:58.62 • finished sixth in the 100 backstroke in 54.06 and the 200 IM in 1:59.03 at UMBC • came in eighth at the CAA Pod meet in the 400 IM in 4:22.72 • also competed in the 200 breaststroke, coming in 13th at the CAA Pod in 2:22.81.
High School: Four-year member of the Fairfield Warde High School swim team • standout in both the backstroke and individual medley • earned all-county honors during each of his four seasons • also garnered All-State nod once • competed in cross country, lacrosse, and track as well • earned all-county honors in both cross country and track • also was an All-State selection in cross country.
Personal: Bryan Lee Stephan ("steff-in") • son of Rob and Anne Stephan • has an older brother, Matt • member of the Italian National Honor Society • enjoys sailing, surfing, and skiing in his spare time • served as a sailing instructor at the Pequot Yacht Club • honor student majoring in environmental studies at Delaware.
