Was a NCAA Zone Diving qualifier in addition to producing five, first-place finishes during his junior campaign with the Blue Hens (Georgetown dual 1-meter (263.78) and 3-meter (284.85), CAA Pod Meet 1-meter (263.95) and 3-meter (306.25), Drexel Dual 1-meter (276.10) and 3M (301.00)).  Additionally added a pair of second-place accolades at the George Mason dual 10/15 3-meter (322.73) and Bucknell Invitational 3M (312.40). Produced five, third-place finishes at the George Mason dual 10/15 1M (257.09), LaSalle/Rider Meet 1-meter (261.70), Navy Diving Invitational 3-meter (284.90), Delaware Invitational 1-meter (299.50) and 3M (291.80), CAA Championships 3-meter (296.95).  Earned three, fourth-place finishes at the LaSalle/Rider Meet 3-meter (286.70), Bucknell Invitational 1-meter (248.30) and Navy Diving Invitational 1-meter (263.80).  Also was fifth in the 1-meter event at the CAA Championships (246.85). 2010-11 Season: Posted the team's top 3-meter score of the season against Towson, winning the event with 325.20 points • also had a season's best score in the 1-meter event against Towson, posting a second place finish with 291.68 points • posted four first place finishes, as well as four seconds and four third place marks • swept both diving events in the season opener against Georgetown, winning the 1-meter with 198.05 points and the 3-meter event with 279.98 points • came in 6th at the CAA Championships from the 3-meter board with a finals score of 283.60 • finished 10th in the 1-meter event at the CAA's with 258.80 points • 2009-10 Season: Finished with the top 3-meter board score on the team, winning the Towson event with 311.47 points • posted a second place finish at Towson from the 1-meter board
with a score of 268.80 • came in 14th at the CAA Championships with a finals score of 206.80.

High School: Four-year standout diver at Yorktown High School • also competed for the ultimate frisbee club.

Personal: Brian Thomas Coonce ("koontz") • born June 7, 1991 • son of Thomas and Jane Coonce • has two older brothers • history major at Delaware with a minor in education • would like to become an elementary teacher after graduation • enjoys ultimate frisbee and soccer • works as a diving coach during the summer • father is a financial analyst for NASA • mother is a teacher and artist.
