UD All-Time Top-10 Lists: 100-freestyle (4th, 44.94), 200-freestyle relay (3rd, 1:21.32; 5th, 1:22.17), 400-freestyle relay (3rd, 2:59.89; 5th, 3:02.27; 7th, 3:06.72), 400-medley relay (4th, 3:18.50), 50 freestyle (9th, 20.94) 2011-12 Season: placed 9th overall in the 100 freestyle at the CAA Championships with the team’s top time of year · also finished 13th in the 50 freestyle and 3rd in the 400 medley relay in the Championships · two 1st place finishes in a meet against Georgetown · anchored the 1st place 200 medley relay against Drexel.2010-11 Season: One of the team's top sprint freestylists, putting his name on three all-time top-10 lists • was the first leg of the 400-yard freestyle relay team that won the CAA Championship in 2:59.89, the third fastest in program history • helped the 200-yard freestyle relay team place third at the CAA Championships in 1:21.32, also the third fastest in program history • had the team's fastest time in the 100 free, winning the consolation final and coming in ninth overall at the CAA Championships in 45.24, the fourth fastest all-time • won the 50 free event against UMBC in a season's best time of 21.17 • finished with siz first place showings while also adding four second place finishes and five third place marks • also swam the 100-yard backstroke, finishing second against Widener in 54.67 and 18th at the CAA's in a season's best 52.09.

High School: Three-year letterwinner at St. Augustine Prep • team won the New Jersey State Championship in 2008 and 2009 • won the New Jersey State Championship in the 100 freestyle in 2010 • holds school records in the 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 50 and 100 freestyle • named all-county twice • named All-State as a senior • also a three-time letterwinner in rowing • team won the Philly City and the New Jersey State Championship in 2010.

Personal: Paul J. Gallagher • son of Paul and K.C. Gallagher • started swimming as a sophomore in high school • worked as a beach lifeguard in Longport, N.J. during the summer.
