At Delaware: Three-year letterwinner • one of seven seniors on the squad • has competed in 18 events in her career • team co-captain with Meredith Rubin for the second straight year • member of Varsity Eights crew • 2010 Season: Competed in five events for the Varsity Eights crew during the season • team finished fifth at the Colonial Athletic Association Championships, sixth at the ECAC Championships, placed third at Saint Joseph's/Drexel tri-meet, 14th at the Knecht Cup, and fifth at the Dad Vail Regatta • Colonial Athletic Association Academic Honor Roll • 2009 Season: Competed in all six competitions with the Varsity Eights crew • team placed second at the Kerr Cup, fourth at the Colonial Athletic Association championships, sixth in the finals at the Knecht Cup, and fifth in the semifinals at the Dad Vail Regatta • 2008 Season: Member of Varsity Eights boat that finished third at the Lake Wheeler Invitational and third at the Kerr Cup/CAA Championships • Varsity Eights also placed third at quad-meet with Saint Joseph’s, Lehigh and Drexel, and was third at tri-meet with George Mason and Bucknell • earned the Coaches Award as a freshman.

Personal: Darra Diane Finnerty • born April 24, 1989 • daughter of Mike and Diane Finnerty • has two older sisters • honor student as a health behavior science major at Delaware with a concentration in fitness management and a minor in entrepreneurial studies • aspires to become a physical therapist • served an internship this past summer on an obesity prevention study at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
