2012 Season: Competed in all seven meets for the Blue Hens • member of the Varsity Fours boat that finished fifth at the Occoquan Sprints • competed with the Second Varsity Eights that placed fifth in its heat at the Knecht Cup • competed with the Second Varsity Eights during the Saint Joseph’s Tri-Meet and the Old Dominion Tri-Meet • member of the Second Varsity Eights boat at the CAA Championships and Dad Vail Regatta.
High School: Four-year participant on the rowing team at Pine Crest Preparatory School • three-year varsity letterwinner • ranked second in Scholastic National 2010 Women's Junior Fours • qualified for Scholastic Nationals senior year in Eights and Varsity Fours • senior year captain • elected club representative in student council • head of Community Service Board.
Personal: Calla Marie Cissel ("ci-sull") • born November 16, 1993 • daughter of Jana Blackwell • has one younger brother, Chandler Cissel • nursing student at Delaware who hopes to become a nurse practitioner • chose Delaware because of the strong nursing program and the great coaching staff • goal is to win a CAA title and earn medals • began rowing freshman year of high school • enjoys baking and cooking and would like to start a baking business • works as a summer camp counselor.
