2012 Season: Competed in all but one event for the Blue Hens • member of the Novice Fours that finished fifth at the Knecht Cup • competed with the Novice Eights that finished second at the Occoquan Sprints and fourth at the Dad Vail Regatta • member of the Novice Eights A boat that competed in the Saint Joseph’s Quad Meet, Old Dominion Tri-Meet, and Murphy Cup • member of the Novice Eights boat that was named National 5 & 10 Best of the Blue Hens Athlete of the Week on April 2.
High School: Four-year participant on the rowing team at Ridgewood High School • team won the North Jersey Championship • honor roll student • member of the Leadership Club during her senior year.
Personal: Kaitlin Mavis Flood • born February 17, 1993 • daughter of Peter and Brenda Flood • has three siblings • elementary education major at Delaware who aspires to become a teacher • chose Delaware because it was the perfect fit • began rowing freshman year of high school • other hobbies include skiing • has worked as a camp counselor.
