2010: Served as team captain • started all 51 games for the Blue Hens, including the final 48 at shortstop • set the UD single-season record and led the Colonial Athletic Association with 13 home runs • her 13 homers were four more than any other player in the conference and five more than the previous UD single-season mark • also led the Blue Hens with 80 total bases, fifth most in a UD single season, and with 30 RBI, tied for sixth most in a single season • walked a team-high 24 times and tied for the team lead with 27 runs scored • drilled a three-run homer and scored three runs in the 11-2 win over Lehigh (3/19) • delivered two home runs the following day, including a two-run shot in the eighth inning, during a 5-4 victory over UMBC (3/20) • went 3 for 4 and slammed a walkoff homer to break the UD home run record and give UD a 7-6 triumph over Lehigh (3/21) • was named CAA Player of the Week, ECAC Player of the Week, and UMBC Spring Classic MVP following those three games • posted three-run homers against Marshall (3/6) and Georgia State (4/11) • went 2 for 3 with a double, home run, and three RBI against Hofstra (3/27) • finished 5 for 7 with two runs scored and a longball during a doubleheader at Lehigh (4/21) • hit a two-run home run in her first at bat of the season during the 8-7 win over UNC Greensboro (2/19) • named Army ROTC Best of the Blue Hens Athlete of the Week on March 12.
2009: Second team All-CAA selection • started all 39 games for Delaware, including 37 at third base • led the Blue Hens with 20 RBI while ranking second with a .306 batting average, 34 hits, three home runs and 13 walks • led UD with 12 multi-hit games and five multi-RBI games • had an eight-game hitting streak from March 21-31, and had multiple hits in six of the eight contests • went 3 for 4 with a run scored in the 8-6 win over Georgia State and was 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored in the nightcap (3/29) • went 2 for 4 with two RBI, two runs scored, a double and a home run versus Towson (4/19) • had two hits and two RBI in both games of a doubleheader against James Madison (3/21) • posted two hits and two runs scored the following day versus the Dukes (3/22) • finished 2 for 3 with two runs scored and a double against Siena (2/27) • also had two-hit games against Buffalo (3/7), Howard (3/15), Delaware State (3/25), UNC Wilmington (4/4) and Army (4/22) • also hit home runs against Buffalo and Villanova (3/31) • committed just three errors on the season • named CAA Player of the Week on March 3 and March 30 • selected Wilmington Trust Best of the Blue Hens Athlete of the Week on March 30.
2008: Appeared in 45 games while starting 43 for the Blue Hens • batted .229 while leading the team with six home runs, third in a single season in UD history • also led Delaware with 30 RBI, tied for sixth most in a UD single season • recorded 27 hits, 16 runs scored, six doubles and 18 walks on the year • went 3 for 3 with two RBI versus Morgan State (3/9) • was 2 for 3 with a double, home run, RBI and three runs scored against Central Connecticut (3/15) • was 2 for 4 with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored against Georgia State (3/22) • went 2 for 3 with two RBI, double and run scored against Delaware State (3/26) • went 2 for 4 with three RBI and a run scored at UNC Wilmington (3/29) • hit a grand slam at Army (4/23).
High School: Named first team All-County as a senior and selected Defensive Player of the Year • first team All-Metro and first team All-County selection in 2006 while also being named the Baltimore Sun Player of the Year • led her county in doubles and triples, and broke Centennial's home run record • ranked among the top 10 in the state in batting average and on base percentage • also earned first team All-County and second team All-Metro honors as a sophomore in 2005, when she batted .447 and had a .628 on base percentage while being named the team's Defensive Player of the Year • three-year captain of softball team and of junior varsity volleyball team • National Honor Society member • named to honor roll all four years of high school.
Personal: Michelle Elizabeth Grap • daughter of David and Mary Grap • has a sister, Rachel • honor student as an animal science/pre-veterinary medicine major at Delaware • aspires to attend veterinary school following graduation • has worked as a veterinary assistant during each of the last two summers • serves as team representative to the UD Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) with teammate Amanda Stacevicz • represented UD at the CAA SAAC Summit in November, 2010.
