2010: All-Colonial Athletic Association first team and CAA All-Rookie selection • started all 51 games in center field for the Blue Hens • led Delaware with a .354 batting average, 63 hits and seven doubles, and tied for the team lead with 27 runs scored • ranked sixth in the CAA in batting average • her 63 hits tied for the most in the conference and are the second most in a UD single season • ranks third in a single season at Delaware with 178 at bats and tied for 10th with 76 total bases • led the Blue Hens with 17 multi-hit games on the year, including eight three-hit contests and a four-hit game • went 4 for 5 with a double and three runs scored at Rider (4/7) • went 3 for 5 in consecutive games against James Madison (4/2 and 4/3) • finished 3 for 3 in consecutive contests versus Georgia State (4/10 and 4/11) • went 3 for 3 against Temple (3/17) and UNC Wilmington (4/17), and was 3 for 4 versus UNC Greensboro (2/21) and George Mason (5/7) • posted an eight-game hitting streak from April 14 through April 24, tied for the longest by a Blue Hen on the season • drove home Samantha Pettie with a walkoff single during UD's 1-0 win over Georgetown (3/19) • named to Carolina Classic and UMBC Spring Classic All-Tournament Teams • named CAA Player of the Week on April 12 and CAA Rookie of the Week on May 3.
High School: Four-year starter in the outfield for the Mission Viejo High School softball team • first team All-League selection her final three years, and honorable mention as a freshman • three-year captain • named 2006 Offensive Player of the Year • selected to All-Tournament Team Laguna Hills in 2006 • member of volleyball team in 2006 • earned Coach's Award in both sports • earned South Coast League Persuing Victory with Honor Award • named to Principal's Honor Roll all four years of high school • earned Diablo Excellence Award in 2006 • earned Top Twenty-Five Award all four years • four-year scholar-athlete • two-time AP Scholar-Athlete • earned International Baccalaureate Diploma • selected Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Personal: Jennifer Marie "Jenny" Richards • daughter of Kyle and Cindy Richards • sister, Jessica, is a junior on the NCAA Division I Fordham University softball team • Jessica batted .231 and played in 58 games with 56 starts in 2010 for a team that went 49-12 and advanced to the NCAA Regionals • father played basketball at Claremont McKenna • marketing and sport management double major at Delaware • honor student and a candidate for CoSIDA Academic All-American honors.
