At Delaware: Second-year member of the squad • will battle for starting spot at catcher and as the team’s designated player.
2011 Season: Appeared in 44 games while starting 30, including 20 as the designated player and 10 as the catcher • batted .188 on the year with 15 hits, seven runs scored and four RBI • increased her average to .333 in 16 conference games • scored three runs in a doubleheader sweep of Hampton (3/1) • delivered a two-run single and scored a run during a victory at UMES (3/13) • drilled only home run of the season against Ball State (3/18) • went 2 for 2 with a walk and a run scored during a win at George Mason (3/27) • had an RBI single against Delaware State (3/30) • singled and scored a run in a win over James Madison (4/9) • went 2 for 2 at Georgia State (4/16) • earned team’s Sportsmanship Award.
High School: Four-year letterwinner in softball and three-year letterwinner in field hockey at Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School • selected Taunton Gazette All-Star for three consecutive years and Attleboro Sun Chronicle All-Star in both sports • named Boston Globe All-Star • first team All-South Coast Conference selection in softball • earned team's Best Defensive Player Award • served as team captain in both sports • honor roll student during senior year.
Personal: Brittney Jeanne Noons • daughter of Bob and Michele McNamara • has a sister, Ashley, who ranks 11th in the country in the shot put in National Junior College at Community College of Rhode Island • honor student as a health and physical education major at Delaware • enjoys working with handicapped children.
