At Delaware: Second-year member of the Blue Hens who will look to again start in right field.

2012 Season: Appeared in 51 games while making 44 starts, including 19 in right field • batted .194 with 26 hits and five doubles • led the team with four home runs, and ranked fourth with 16 runs scored and 14 RBI • went 2 for 2 with a homer and three runs scored during the 13-2 win over Army (2/25) • finished 2 for 3 with a home run and three RBI against Sacramento State (3/3) • was 2 for 3 with a triple, RBI and run scored in the 7-2 win over Saint Peter’s (4/4) • had two hits and a run scored during the 4-1 triumph at Rider (4/11) • crushed a two-run homer in the Blue Hens’ 3-1 victory over Georgia State (4/21) • delivered a two-run single during the 4-0 win over UNCW (4/28) and added a two-run homer in the 8-3 win over the Seahawks the following day • earned the Team Sportsmanship Award.

High School: Played four years of softball, three years of volleyball, and two years of basketball in high school • first team All-District, All-Eastern Region and All-Tidewater selection as a catcher • named team MVP as a senior when she was the squad’s starting catcher and leadoff hitter • served as team captain during sophomore and senior seasons • led volleyball team to the district championship and the region semifinals • helped basketball team to its first ever district appearance during sophomore year • awarded Grassfield High School Honor of Distinction for academic and athletic success, involvement in the community, and good character • member of National Honor Society • participated in Key Club • Student Government President as a freshman.

Personal: Kaitlyn Sarah Breneman • daughter of Gregory and Mary Breneman • has sisters Meghan, Sarah and Rebecca • double major in exercise science and nutritional science/dietetics at Delaware with a minor in strength & conditioning • enjoys weightlifting and running in her free time • worked as an intern with the UD strength & conditioning department over the summer.
