Blue Hen Softball Head Coach Jaime Wohlbach Appears in New Movie “How Do You Know”

NEWARK, Del. -- University of Delaware softball head coach Jaime Wohlbach appears in the new movie “How Do You Know” starring Reese Witherspoon that opens Friday.
Witherspoon plays a softball player in the middle of a love triangle in the movie, which also features Owen Wilson, Paul Rudd and Jack Nicholson.
Wohlbach appears in the movie’s softball scenes, which were shot on the campuses of Drexel University and UCLA.
Wohlbach will begin her first season leading the Blue Hens this spring after spending the last three years as head coach at Iona. She will make her Delaware regular season debut on February 18 when the Blue Hens face Miami (Ohio) and Illinois-Chicago at the University of Central Florida Invitational.
Wohlbach was named the 2010 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Coach of the Year after leading the Gaels to the MAAC title and a spot in the NCAA Tournament. Over her last two seasons at Iona she coached nine all-conference selections and two league Rookie of the Year winners.
A four-year standout at Kutztown University, Wohlbach was an All-PSAC selection as a junior and senior in addition to earning All-Region honors in 2000. She played in the Women’s Professional Softball League and National Pro Fastpitch League in the United States, and was an international player and coach in over 15 countries.
