A pair of All Skills Day Camps will be held from Monday through Wednesday on July 9-11 and July 23-25, with the camps running from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day. The camps, which cost $275 each and are for players ages 8-18, feature a morning defensive session and an afternoon offensive session, with games wrapping up the day.
Additionally, two Pitchers/Catchers Camps will be held on Monday, June 25. The first camp, which will take place from 10 a.m. until 12 noon, is for players ages 9-13 and costs $75. The second camp will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., is for players ages 14-18 and costs $95.
Campers for all four summer camps need to bring all equipment needed for their position including a helmet, bat, glove, cleats, sneakers and catching gear if applicable. The camps will provide campers with an opportunity to increase skills in all areas including fielding and throwing fundamentals, defensive work at a primary position, baserunning skills, hitting and short game technique, pitching fundamentals and specific pitch development, and catching technique and drills for catchers.
The camps will be run by Wohlbach, who has led the Blue Hens to a berth in the CAA Tournament during each of her first two years in Newark. The staff will also include UD assistant coaches Lauren Cognigni and Tenaya Tucker as well as Division I, II and III college coaches, professional softball players, and collegiate athletes.
