At Delaware: Will see time as a middle hitter

2011: Was one of seven UD netters to see action in all 125 sets in 34 games during sophomore season • led the squad wit 127 blocks (25 BS/102 BA); which placed eighth in the Colonial Athletic Association • her 127 blocks accounted for 45% of the team’s blocks during the year • ranked fifth on the team with 168 kills (1.34 kills/per set) and 263 points (2.10 pts/set) • set new highs with 12 kills (Nov. 19 vs. JMU), three assists (Oct. 12 at Hofstra), five digs (Sept. 17 vs. New Mexico) and nine blocks (Nov. 20 vs. VCU) • posted 16 kills, 13 blocks and three digs during UD’s CAA Tournament Championships run.

2010: Entered into the starting rotation as a middle hitter on October 8 against VCU • recorded one kill on four swings against the Rams in her collegiate debut • team finished 13-1 after being inserted into the starting rotation with their only loss coming against Virginia Tech in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament • set a career high with six kills in her second career game on October 9 against William & Mary • six kills on nine swings with a .556 attack percentage with two digs and four block assists against the Tribe • set a season best nine total blocks at Towson on October 15, including eight block assists • tallied five kills with no errors on eight attempts versus Georgia State on November 13 for a career high .625 hitting mark • played in the final 14 games, making 13 starts including the final 10 matches • second on the team in blocks per set and was only one of two players (Paige Erickson) to record more than one block per game (1.02) • tallied 52 total blocks (five block solos and 47 block assists) in 51 sets • collected the championship point in the fifth set against Northeastern in the CAA Tournament with a block assist • recorded two kills, six total blocks, three digsand one assist against the Huskies in the CAA Final.

High School: Excelled as a middle hitter at Dos Pueblos High School • guided the team to a 32-3 record and a No. 3 national ranking during the 2009 campaign • helped the Chargers win the CIF Southern California title in Division IA and the Channel League while earning a spot in the state tournament • was a two-time All-California Scholastic Federation honoree • also received letters in soccer and track.

Personal: Karina Evans • daughter of Robert Evans and Kymberly Williams-Evans • enjoys snowboarding • repelled down a 100-foot waterfall • began playing volleyball as a sophomore at Dos Pueblos • majoring in English at Delaware.
