Numerous Promotions To Be Held During Upcoming University of Delaware Volleyball Homestand

NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware volleyball team will return home for a four-match homestand beginning Wednesday, October 17 when the Blue Hens face Villanova during UD's Homecoming week. Each match will include giveaways, ticket discounts, and much more!
When the team hosts Villanova on Wednesday, October 17 at 7 p.m. at the Bob Carpenter Center, PNC water bottles will be distributed to the first 500 fans in attendance, courtesy of PNC Bank. One lucky fan will receive a $100 gift card to Klondike Kate’s inside his or her water bottle. All girl and boy scouts are invited to purchase $1 tickets to this match when they wear their scout uniform. Once the entire troop/pack arrives, be sure to check in at the table in the lobby by 7 p.m. The troop/pack that brings the most people will receive a free pizza party for their next scout meeting!
The team will return on Friday, October 19 to face Northeastern at 7 p.m. Blue Delaware Volleyball t-shirts will be given to the first 250 fans, compliments of the National 5&10. All fans are encouraged to wear Delaware Blue to this match. In addition, Friday is UD Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night, where each UD Faculty/Staff member that wears Delaware Blue to the match can receive up to four $1 tickets by visiting the Delaware Ticket Office in person on gameday. A valid UD Faculty/Staff ID card must be presented to receive the discounted tickets. All families are also invited to purchase the Family Fun Friday package. For $15, the package includes admission for two adults and two youth (17&under) to this match. Family Fun Friday ticket packages must be purchased at least 48 hours in advance.
The Blue Hens will then face Hofstra on Saturday, October 20 at 8 p.m. Be sure to show your ticket stub from the October 20 Delaware football game vs. Rhode Island earlier that day to the Delaware Ticket Office upon entry to receive FREE admission to the match. As a part of Girls Night Out, all females will receive $1 admission to the match – discounted tickets will be available on gameday only. Promotions will include a UD spirit bead giveaway to the first 100 females in attendance, raffles for spa packages throughout the night, and exclusive ladies only promotions!
The team will close out its homestand when the Blue Hens host Towson on Friday, October 26 at 7 p.m. All kids in attendance are encouraged to wear their Halloween costume and participate in a costume parade during intermission. The team’s adopted Blue Hens Volleyball teammate, Princess Olivia Calbazana from Friends of Jacqueline, will lead the parade in support of Childhood Cancer Awareness. Be one of the first 500 fans to the Bob Carpenter Center and receive the second strip of trading cards featuring Ariel Shonk, Mackenzie Olsen, Tanya Krapf, and Kori Reigel. Be sure to collect the last two strips to complete a full trading card set at the matches on November 9 and November 10! All families are also invited to purchase the Family Fun Friday package.
