WHYY to Broadcast Sold-Out Contest as #25 Delaware Women’s Basketball Hosts Hofstra Sunday

NEWARK, Del. --Tomorrow’s 2 p.m. contest between the No. 25 University of Delaware women’s basketball team and Hofstra University will be broadcast locally on WHYY. Tickets for the game are sold out.
The match-up pits two of the Colonial Athletic Association’s best scorers in UD senior All-American Elena Delle Donne, who averages 24.6 points and 8.6 rebounds per contest, and Hofstra’s Shante Evans, who puts up 17.5 points per game.
The Blue Hens are currently ranked 25th in the nation with a 17-3 overall record and lead the CAA with an undefeated mark of 8-0. Hofstra sits at 9-9 overall and 5-2 in conference play.
John Sadak will call the play-by-play action while Thom Shumosic will provide color commentary. Halftime reports will feature the team from WHYY-TV’s First, which serves the First State.
