Cross Country - Second-year member of the Blue Hens. 2010 Season: Competed in four events for the Blue Hens • finished 157th in 25:50.4 at the Penn State Invitational • placed 41st in 21:17.0 at the Delaware Invitational and 34th in 20:39.17 at the Blue & Gold Invitational • was 20th in the 21:15.5 in the open race at the ECAC Championships.
Indoor Track & Field - Second-year member of the squad. 2010-11 Season: Did not compete in any meets for the Blue Hens.
Outdoor Track & Field - Second-year member of the Blue Hens. 2011 Season: Did not compete in any meets for Delaware.
High School: Competed all four years in cross country and indoor and outdoor track & field • won 12 varsity letters • holds indoor school records in the 800m, 1,600m and 4x800m relay • set outdoor school records in the sprint medley, the two-person high jump and the two-person triple jump • named second-team Cape Atlantic League in track & field in 2010 • earned The Press of Atlantic City second-team honors in cross country (2009) and track & field (2010) • won the Cape Atlantic League high jump title in 2010 • listed on honor roll all through high school • National Honor Society Chairperson • Key Club member, serving as the Lieutenant Governor in Division 2.
Personal: Erica Leah Addonizio ("add-uh-nizzio") • born Oct. 7, 1991 in Atlanta • daughter of James and Janene Addonizio and Sandra and David Eakin • has one younger brother • always listens to Bob Seger’s “Against the Wind” before competition • lists father as biggest influence because he ran in high school • lists her mother as the biggest supporter of her endeavors • chemical engineering major at Delaware with a minor in environmental engineering • served as an intern over the summer at the Water Resource Agency • part of the Cameroon group of UD’s student chapter of Engineers Without Borders.
